Senior Specialist, Ecommerce Marketplace Business Development
The Senior Specialist, Ecommerce Marketplace Business Development will report to the Ecommerce Marketplace Director and will be responsible for driving key seller acquisition of marketplace sellers. Primary responsibility is to identify, acquire and develop/grow accounts to optimize sales potential.
Primary Responsibilities:
• Generate potential seller leads through relevant acquisition channels
• Maintain an active sales pipeline, correctly prioritizing accounts based on their overall potential for the business
• Collaborate cross-functionally with merchant partners and other key business partners
• Contact and correctly screen potential sellers by evaluating their business maturity, catalogue relevancy, etc.
• Develop fail-proof negotiation strategies to convert any lead
• Develop and grow accounts to self-efficiency
• Target: 25-50 sellers signed and activated/quarterly related to business priorities
Core Competencies & Accomplishments:
• Bachelor’s Degree in related field
• 3-5 years’ experience in Ecommerce or Retail, with a minimum 1-3 years in sales/business development/retail media preferred
• Excellent analytical, critical thinking, negotiation and problem solving skills
• Ability to deliver under pressure, with little guidance from management
• Proactive, self-motivated and goal-oriented
• Passionate for the ecommerce space, previous marketplace experience a plus
• Proficient in web-based analytics tool
• Dynamic, self-starter with excellent communication skills
