RN Manager – Surgical Services (Operating Room)
We are seeking an experienced Operating Room Nurse Manager to oversee surgical services in a high-volume, Level II Trauma hospital. With 11 OR suites and approximately 550 cases per month, this leadership role is responsible for ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality perioperative care. Provide leadership and accountability for the daily operations of the Operating Room.
Oversee approximately 40 FTEs in perioperative services.
Ensure safe and effective patient care in compliance with hospital policies and regulatory standards.
Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and interdisciplinary teams to optimize surgical outcomes.
Manage departmental budgets, staffing, and resource allocation responsibly.
Lead performance improvement initiatives to enhance quality, safety, and patient experience.
Mentor, develop, and engage perioperative staff while fostering a culture of teamwork.
Required
Minimum 3 years of recent acute care OR management experience
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
Active RN license (Kansas or Compact state)
BCLS, ACLS, and PALS (or ability to obtain and maintain within required timeframe)
Preferred
BSN degree (Master’s degree a plus)
Specialty certification (e.g., CPAN or CNOR)
Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills
Salary: $44.27 – $61.99/hour (commensurate with experience)
