A respected surgical services team in Fort Walton Beach, Florida is seeking an experienced Operating Room Nurse Manager (RN) to provide clinical and operational leadership for a Level II Trauma Center with 10 main ORs and 2 CVOR suites .
This position offers the opportunity to lead a dynamic, high-performing team of over 60 professionals dedicated to patient safety, surgical precision, and collaborative care.
The ideal leader will bring a balance of technical expertise, operational insight, and people-first management to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality perioperative services.
Direct day-to-day operations and staff management within the surgical services department.
Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and perioperative leadership to maintain quality and workflow efficiency.
Ensure adherence to infection control, regulatory standards, and surgical safety protocols.
Support recruitment, training, and professional development of OR nurses and technologists.
Monitor productivity, staffing ratios, and supply utilization to align with budget goals.
Lead quality initiatives, rounding, and continuous improvement programs.
Maintain effective communication and foster a culture of teamwork across all perioperative units.
Participate in capital planning and advocate for technology and process enhancements.
Required:
Active RN license (Florida or Compact State)
Associate Degree in Nursing (BSN preferred)
At least 3 years of recent acute care OR leadership experience
BLS certification (within 30 days of hire)
Preferred:
CNOR or CNML certification
Experience managing multiple OR suites in a trauma or tertiary setting
Strong communication, organization, and mentoring skills
Hourly Rate: $45.50 – $53.80/hour (commensurate with experience)
