Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) – Operating Room
Location: Utica, NY 13502
Shift Schedule: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM (Day Shift)
Duration: 13 Weeks (Possible extension depending on business needs)
Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours/week
Pay Range: $65/hr – $70 per hour on a W2

Responsibilities:
Provide safe, evidence-based nursing care in a dynamic Operating Room setting.
Manage all aspects of intraoperative care for diverse procedures including ENT, orthopedics, urology, general surgery, neurosurgery, podiatry, plastics, and trauma.
Circulate and scrub as needed depending on procedure and team configuration.
Communicate effectively with surgeons, anesthesia, and the rest of the perioperative team.
Monitor patients and respond to intraoperative changes in condition.
Use EPIC EMR to accurately chart all nursing care, assessments, and interventions.
Adhere to strict infection control, sterile technique, and patient safety standards.
Float to other units as required based on staffing needs

Skills/Experience Needed:
Minimum 2 years of recent Operating Room RN experience – Required
Proven experience with trauma and neuro cases – Required
Must be confident handling all listed surgical specialties – Required
Prior travel nursing experience – Preferred
Proficiency in EPIC EMR system – Required
Strong clinical decision-making, teamwork, and adaptability

Education:
Graduate of an accredited nursing program – Required

Certifications:
Active, unrestricted New York RN license – Required at time of submission
Basic Life Support (BLS – American Heart Association) – Required
Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) – Preferred
NURSYS verification with all active RN licenses – Required
COVID-19 vaccination in accordance with facility policy – Required Required
