Job Summary

St Bridget of Kildare Catholic School, a faith-based learning community, is seeking qualified and dedicated Substitute Teachers to support student learning in the absence of the regular classroom teacher. The Substitute Teacher is responsible for maintaining a positive, structured, and faith-filled classroom environment that promotes student learning and upholds Catholic values. 

Job Responsibilities

• Deliver instructional plans and materials provided by the regular classroom teacher.

• Maintain classroom routines, procedures, and discipline in accordance with school policies.

• Supervise students in all areas of the school environment to ensure a safe and respectful learning atmosphere.

• Foster a positive and inclusive classroom culture rooted in Catholic teachings and values.

• Communicate effectively with students, staff, and school leadership.

• Leave clear documentation of the day’s activities and any significant student issues for the returning teacher.

• Uphold and model the mission and vision of Catholic education.

Job Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent (some schools may require a bachelor’s degree).

• Strong classroom management and communication skills.

• Respect for the mission and teachings of the Catholic Church.

• Ability to pass background checks and meet diocesan safe environment requirements.
