Painter

 

Quarryville Presbyterian Retirement Community is currently seeking a Full-Time Painter to join our incredible Renovations   Team !

This individual is responsible for painting the interior and exterior of buildings and facilities; hanging wall paper; repairing and replacing wall vinyl; and finishing surfaces.  A qualified candidate will be able to work independently, be flexible, and have initiative to complete assigned job tasks in timely manner.   

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:00am-3:30pm

Compensation:  $19.00-$24.53/hour , dependent upon experience

Primary Responsibilities (including, but not limited to) :
  • Paint interior and exterior surfaces by reading work orders, preparing surfaces, estimating materials, and applying base and finish coats using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment.

  • Install, hang, and repair wall vinyl and wallpaper, including surface preparation, accurate material estimation, and safe use of adhesives and tools.

  • Operate and maintain a variety of painting and maintenance equipment, including paint sprayers, wall vinyl machines, tile cutting machines, ladders, drywall tools, and related supplies.

  • Communicate effectively with supervisors, staff, residents, and other personnel to receive and complete job-related tasks efficiently.

  • Assist maintenance staff with snow and ice removal during emergencies and perform light maintenance duties as needed.

Requirements:

  • Previous painting experience.
  • Previous drywall finishing experience.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with residents and their families.
  • Demonstrates high level of customer service skills.
  • Demonstrates independent problem solving and critical thinking skills.
  • Accepts additional job responsibilities and schedule changes as they arise.
  • Works well independently.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to changing needs and schedules.
